Shatin Public School
Shatin Public School (Chinese: 沙田公立學校) is a school in Tai Wai, Sha Tin District, Hong Kong.
Foundation
In 1950 Sha Tin local leaders and members of the local populace established a committee to build a school. The Education Department provided some funding and Tai Po District Office gave away a land for the school on Tai Po Road near Tai Wai (now : Chik Fai Street, Tai Wai). The school premises were completed in March, 1954.

Five more classrooms, a school hall and a music room were built. At its peak, there were nearly a thousand students in the campus.
