Shah Syed Hasnain Baqai - Urdu: شاہ سید حسنین بقائی‎ - also known as Shah saheb is an Indian Sufi leader and spiritual master from Safipur Sharif, the Sufi shrine in Safipur in Uttar Pradesh. He is a patron and parts of various social, academic and other developmental activities of Sufi Sunni Muslims in India. He is the President of the All India Ulema and Mashaikh Board (AIUMB) (u.p east)[1] a Sufi movement in India. One source describes him as having an inclusive and broadminded interpretation of Islam [2]

He has held following positions, Nayeb sajjada nasheen Khanqah Baqaiyah Safipur sharif. Founder of Sufi sangh ekta dal, General Secretary baqai charitable samiti, 

Executive Member of the All India Ulema and Mashaikh Board,[5]

In September 2015 he founded an organization named SHIA SUNNI EKTA ADHIVESHAN Involvement in SHIA SUNNI UNITY movement of Lucknow.[6][7][8][9]

Involvement in Waqf Movement of Lucknow

The "Waqf Movement" or Tehreek-e-Awqaf which is going on in Lucknow under the leadership of Kalbe Jawad and shah saheb has achieved a nominal success till date.[11] [12] [13] [14]

Execution of Nimr al-Nimr

In an interview condemning the execution of Nimr al-Nimr in Saudi Arabia, he said "One Shia cleric was hanged just because he was raising voice for minorities’ rights and sheltering of terrorism by Saudi Arabia." [15][16][17] [18][19] [20]
