Sharon Lin

Sharon Lin (born November 14, 1998)[1] is a Chinese-American high school entrepreneur.

Background

Lin lives in New York City,[2] where she currently attends Stuyvesant High School as a senior. She founded the StuyHacks high school hackathon and BitxBit Camp, a non-profit focused providing computer science opportunities to girls from marginalized backgrounds.[3][4]

Awards

Lin was recognized by the White House as a Champion of Change[5][6][7] for her work in developing computer science programs for marginalized girls.[8]

She was also awarded by the CE Week "10 Under 20: Young Innovators to Watch" Awards[9] for creating a student-run inclusive platform for students interested in STEM and technology.
