Shen Jinlong (simplified Chinese: 沈金龙; traditional Chinese: 沈金龍; pinyin: Shěn Jīnlóng; born October 1956) is a vice admiral (zhong jiang) of the People's Liberation Army Navy (PLAN) of China.

Biography

Shen was born in Nanhui District of Shanghai in October 1956. He once served as commander of Support Base of North Sea Fleet and president of Dalian Naval Academy. He was president of Naval Academy of Commanding in 2011, and held that office until 2014. In 2014, he brief spell as commander and assistant commander of Chinese warships from August to December. By the end of 2014 he was promoted to become commander of South Sea Fleet, a position at secondary army group grade (副大军区级).[1] On July 29, 2016, he was awarded the rank of vice admiral (zhong jiang) by the Central Military Commission.[2]
