Shia eschatology

Shia Muslims have their own beliefs about the apocalypse and mention a collection of events that have been foretold according to hadith.

Apocalypse

The apocalypse is the last part of the human life period to occur before the resurrection.

Hajj in apocalypse

According to a hadith of Muhammad, the prophet of Islam, one of the signs of the apocalypse is when kings go to Hajj (pilgrimage) for leisure and recreation and rich persons go to Mecca for business.

Islamic Ummah in apocalypse

Muhammad said about his Ummah that they will forget five things at the apocalypse:

Signs of the reappearance of Mahdi

According to Shia beliefs, a collection of events will occur before the coming back of Muhammad al-Mahdi, an ultimate savior of humankind and the final Imam of the Twelve Imams. Signs of the reappearance of Muhammad al-Mahdi are classified as uncertain or certain signs.

Death of the devil

In Shia tradition, the devil will be killed after the appearance of Muhammad al-Mahdi.
