Shire Hall, Hertford

Not to be confused with County Hall, Hertford.

The Shire Hall in Hertford, Hertfordshire is a complex of assembly rooms and a magistrates' court.[1][2] It was designed by James Adam, built around 1768-9 and expanded several times in subsequent years. It is currently listed at Grade I.[3][4] It is a separate building to County Hall, a larger and more modern complex located further from the town centre.[5]

It is currently used as a family magistrates' court.[6]
