Siege of Birtvisi (1403)

The siege of Birtvisi was the battle between Timurid Sultan, Timur against eastern Georgian kingdom in Birtvisi fortress.[1][2] the defender of fortress was led by Ivane Toreli, which commanded 30 30 aznauri along with their families, and 150 soldiers.[3] It took 8 attempts for Timurid forces to finally subdue the impregnable fortress.[4]
