The Siege of Sirhind was fought between the Mughals and Sikh forces in 1710. The Sikhs initially besieged and stormed the city of Sirhind,[2] however the Mughals were quick to recapture the city and quickly moved on to attack the Sikhs at Lohgarh. Wazir Khan (Sirhind) was beheaded in the battle [1]
Aftermath
When Banda Singh Bahadur captured Sirhind he ordered that all men, women and children be executed. All residents of Sirhind, whether they were men, women or children were all burned alive or slain.[3]
