Sigurd Lybeck

Sigurd Lybeck (1895, Etnedal 1975) was a Norwegian farmer and writer. He wrote several popular novels and stories, mostly published as feuilletons in newspapers and magazines. His breakthrough was the series De giftegalne kaller i Oladalen, published in Arbeidermagasinet in 1928. He is particularly remembered as the author of the cartoon Jens von Bustenskjold in Arbeidermagasinet (drawn by Anders Bjørgaard). The 1958 comedy film Bustenskjold, based on his series, had Leif Juster playing the title character.[1][2]
