Silver Hill Hospital

Silver Hill Hospital is a psychiatric hospital in New Canaan, Connecticut. It was established in 1931. The hospital provides comprehensive psychiatric and addiction treatment services.

History

Dr. John Millet founded Silver Hill Hospital in 1931 in the Silvermine River Valley of Fairfield County, straddling the borders of Wilton and New Canaan, Connecticut.[1] Novelist Philip Roth was one of the hospital's famous patients.[2]

Annual gala

Silver Hill Hospital's annual Gala is a fundraiser for the Patient Financial Aid Fund. The 2016 Gala will be hosted by MSNBC's Joe Scarborough and Mike Brzezinski.[3] Former NBA player Chris Herren will attend as a special guest speaker.[3]
