Silviu Dorin Vulc more commonly known as Silviu Vulc is a Romanian heavyweight mixed martial artist. Silviu Vulc spent his early career boxing in Romania, he then moved to Russia to train with Red Devil Sport Club team mates with Fedor Emelianenko and Alexander Emelianenko. Vulc spent two years there training and fighting. During this time he had ten MMA fights with eight wins and three losses, the first seven fights being semi-professional before moving into the professional league. Vulc had a short professional career, defeating Rodrigo Mendes in the Desert Combat Challenge in Israel[1] and losing twice. His last fight being in 2008 for M-1 Global. Silviu has spent most of his time and energy over the years coaching others in boxing and MMA around the world including time spent in Russia, Romania and London, England.
Background
Silviu Vulc comes from Deva, Romania, where he coached boxing for several years, notably training the Romanian Olympic Boxing Team.[1] and coaching at FC Dinamo Bucureşti.[1] Himself a former amateur boxer having a boxing career of 89 fights with 70 wins and two draws.
Combat Sambo World Championships
Having studied the art of Combat Sambo for many years, in 2007, Silviu placed 5th in the World Combat Sambo Championship in Russia in the open weight division.[2]
Currently
Four years later and after a year coaching professional MMA fighters in London, England for MMA gym, Team Titan, home to fighters such as Brad Pickett UFC Silviu moved to Thailand to work as coach for Phuket Top Team MMA and Muay Thai gym in Phuket.[3]
