Malcolm Colquhoun

Sir Malcolm Rory Colquhoun, 9th Baronet of Luss (born 1947) is a British noble, landowner and school administrator.[1][2]

Biography

Early life

He is the son of the late Sir Ivar Colquhoun, 8th Baronet (1916-2008).[1]

Career

Together with his wife, he runs Northcote Lodge and Broomwood Hall, two schools in London.[1][3][4] Additionally he is chairman of the Luss Estates Company, which encompasses the ancient clan lands of Colquhoun and Luss: about 45,000 acres on Loch Lomondside.[5]

Aristocratic title

After his father's death, he became Chief of the Colquhoun Clan, 31st of Colquhoun and 33rd of Luss.[1][2][6]

Personal life

He is married to Katherine Mears from Canberra, Australia, known as Lady Colquhoun of Luss.[1][2][7] He has four children. His heir-apparent Patrick Colquhoun, Younger of Luss [1][2] was born of his first wife Susan Timmerman from Harrisburg, Pennsylvania (now Mrs Susan Clark, of Princeton, New Jersey, United States), whom he married in 1978 and divorced in 1983. In September 2013 his eldest child, Charlotte Colquhoun from whom he is estranged, was featured in newspapers as working as an escort in Herefordshire.[8]

His sister, Iona Mary, married the late Ian Campbell, 12th Duke of Argyll. As a result, his nephew is Torquhil Campbell, 13th Duke of Argyll.
