Smaato is a global real-time advertising platform for mobile publishers and app developers, with a strong focus on helping these parties monetize their mobile apps and websites.

Smaato is an initial member of the OpenRTB Mobile subcommittee and an active member of the Mobile Marketing Association, Mobile Entertainment Forum (MEF), Singapore Infocomm Industry (SITF), and the German Digital Media Association BVDW.

Smaato was founded in 2005. Smaato’s global headquarters are in San Francisco, California. Smaato’s European office is in Hamburg, Germany and the APAC office is in Singapore, along with an office in New York City. As of July 2015, Smaato has a total of 220 employees globally.[1]

Smaato is a closely held private company. Smaato's partners include Indonesian mobile operator Indosat.[2] Smaato has received $47 million in funding so far from investors including Aeris CAPITAL, Singapore Press Holdings, and EDBI.[3] [4]
