The red sunflower seed weevil Smicronyx fulvus[1] is a weevil in the Curculionidae family.
Description
Adult beetles are 2.5–3 mm in length.[2] They are long and reddish-brown in color.[3]
Distribution
The species lives in the United States and Canada.[4]
Ecology
The larvae feed on Helianthus species.
