Smita Tambe (Marathi:स्मिता तांबे) is a well-known Marathi & Hindi film, television and stage actor, born in the Satara district of Maharashtra. She was brought up in Pune, and moved to Mumbai to pursue a career in Marathi films and television.[2] She came into the limelight due to her role in Jogwa Her first lead role came in Akshay Kumar's production first Marathi movie ७२ मैल .
