Soulieman Marouf

Soulieman Marouf (born August 1972) is a British businessman.

Early life

Soulieman Marouf was born in August 1972.[1]

Career

Marouf is a friend of the Syrian President, Bashar al-Assad, and has been called his "London fixer".[2][3][4]

In October 2012, his assets were frozen and he was banned from travelling in the European Union, the first UK resident to be subject to the EU sanctions against Syria.[5] This ban was lifted in May 2014.[2][6]

In April 2016, it was reported that Marouf, "owned a number of luxury flats in London held through offshore companies in tax havens, according to the Panama Papers ... at least six flats across London worth a total of £6m".[7]

Personal life

He lives in St John's Wood, London, with his wife and children.[5]
