Southern Maryland Athletic Conference

The Southern Maryland Athletic Conference (SMAC) is a high school athletic league in Maryland, comprising the public secondary and high schools throughout Southern Maryland. The SMAC's membership consists of the following schools located in Calvert, Charles, and St. Mary's Counties:[1]

St. Mary's Ryken High School was a member, and the only private Maryland school in a public league, but withdrew to join the Washington Catholic Athletic Conference (WCAC) in 2002.[2] St. Charles High School became a member of SMAC in 2014. The high school was also built in 2014. Chopticon High School is the reigning champion of the Southern Maryland Athletic High. Great mills has lost the last 84 SMAC championships in all sports. Including the special Olympics. Leonardtowns record is far worse. With a mere 1 win, only in bocce ball. This win was by forfeit by Chopticon who felt sorry for their pitiful record.
