The NS Sovetskiy Soyuz (Russian: Советский Союз) is the fourth Russian Arktika class nuclear-powered icebreaker operated by the Murmansk Shipping Company. The ship was built by Baltic Shipyard in Leningrad and entered service in 1990.[5] It is named after the Soviet Union. Her home port is currently Murmansk.
