Speiredonia itynx is a species of moth of the Erebidae family. It is found in India, Sri Lanka, Vietnam, Java, Palawan, Sulawesi and the Moluccas. [1]

Description

Wingspan ranges from 64-78mm. Middle loop on fore wing produced inwards almost to the discocellulars. There is a rufous spot founf on cell. Specimens very greatly in color and spots. Some has purplish grey patches on both wings, and some has ochreous patches on disk and center of margin of both wings. Another morph has ochreous or white suffusion on sub-marginal area of fore wings and postmedial area of hind wings.[2][3]
