Speller Metcalfe
Speller Metcalfe is an UK based construction company, active in civil engineering and Eco build construction.[1][2][3] The firm was founded in 1995 and is headquartered in Malvern, Worcestershire, with locations in Gloucester and London.[4]
History
Speller Metcalfe was incorporated in 1995 by construction surveyors Steve Speller and Andy Metcalfe.[5] The company initially focused on the construction of residential & commercial buildings and small projects around Worcestershire and Herefordshire.[6] Later its business spans the sectors of education, automotive, sustainable construction, healthcare and emergency services. The company further expanded its services in Gloucestershire, Birmingham and Bristol area to take up the bigger projects.[7]
In 2003, Speller Metcalfe signed a contract to build a specialty acorns hospice in the South Worcester which helped them in gaining reputation in the region.[8] In middle of the first decade, it focused on ecobuild construction to build properties that can pass CSH level 6. It completed their initial ecobuild construction projects around 2010 and later collaborated with Warwickshire College to offer students regular construction site tours as a part of their course curriculum.[9][10]
Eco build construction
Speller Metcalfe's eco-build division worked on the construction of zero-carbon buildings that passes CSH level 6.[11] Their notable eco build construction works include Eco Vicarages in Kingswinford,[12][13] Aston University Brain Centre, Threadneedle Street, Steiner Academy, Habberley Learning Campus for Worcestershire County Council, Western Power Distribution, Aston University Brain Centre, South Warwickshire NHS Foundation,[14] St Mary of the Angels, Heart of the Forest Community Special School and others.
