Spit for Athena

Spit For Athena are an American rock band from Coldwater, Michigan. Levi Bailey (vocals, guitar) and Matt Budd (drums) started the band with Melanie Cumming (bass) in September 2001.

Biography

Spit For Athena released their self-titled debut album on Grand Rapids indie label Friction Records in 2003. The album was recorded with Mike Hasty (Walls Of Jericho) and Ryan "Bart" Williams (Black Dahlia Murder) at Cloud City Studios in Detroit, MI. The band's next release, Extermina, was released on Eyeball Records in 2004.[1][2] Mark Larmee replaced Melanie Cumming as bassist in 2008, appearing on the band's latest album, Tammy.[3]

Spit For Athena has shared the stage with bands like Local H, Melt-Banana, Russian Circles, The Forms, Walls Of Jericho, Lickgoldensky, Hot Cross, Mad Caddies and Smoking Popes.
