Sports engineering

A tennis racket made of an advanced material such as carbon fibre reinforced plastic can have a larger head than a traditional racket made of wood.

Sports engineering is the design and production of sports equipment and facilities using advanced material and technology. Examples are golf balls and artificial turf.[1] There are now college degrees in this branch of engineering and engineers with this speciality may pursue a career in the field.[2]
