Sri Guru Nanak Dev Khalsa College
Sri Guru Nanak Dev Khalsa College is a constituent college of University of Delhi which offers courses in Commerce and Humanities at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. The College has been named after first Guru of the Sikhs and functions under the able management of Delhi Sikh Gurudwara Management Committee. The college has been granted minority status by the National Commission for Minority Education institutions.
Established in 1973, the college is currently in its 43rd year of service to the community. Previously, it was known as Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Khalsa College (Evening).
Located in a central place like Karol Bagh being the commercial hub of Delhi, the college is accessible to students all over the capital city as well as the NCR, by metro and bus. Nearest Metro Stations- Karol Bagh/Rajendra Place (Blue Line) or Shastri Nagar (Red Line).
During the last few decades, Sri Guru Nanak Dev Khalsa College has evolved as a premier higher education institution of University of Delhi due to its academic and extra-curricular excellence. Seminars and workshops are organised throughout the year. Prominent experts from academics, business and industry participate in these programmes. A special inter-college cultural festival is also held annually.
The college is also known for its good faculty ranging over nine departments offering high quality education to the students.

The College has a decent placement record with some of the reputed companies like Ernst & Young, AON Hewitt, Royal Bank of Scotland, Concentrix, Genpact etc. visit the campus every year to hire fresh graduates. The active placement Cell also ensures a number of organisations and startups provide regular internship opportunities to the first and second year students as well.
Surlok: The Annual Festival of SGND Khalsa College
The College organises an inter-college annual festival "Surlok" every year which witnesses a footfall of thousands of college students from Delhi NCR participating in various competitions including Street Play, Western Dance, Folk Dance, Solo Singing, as well as fun activities like Dubsmash, Blind Date etc. ranging over 3 Days.
The final day of the festival has a star-performer event where famous artists have performed in the past including Daler Mehndi,Guru Randhawa, Hardy Sandhu, Jassi Sidhu & to name a few .
The fest hosts a number of delicious food stalls fulfills the cravings of the enthusiastic attendees.
The Annual Convention 2016
In March 2016, the college organised its Annual convention on the theme-" Startup India: The Road Ahead" to promote the entrepreneurial ecosystem among the college students. The Convention witnessed the likes of entrepreneurial pioneers including Dr. Ritesh Malik (Forbes Asia Top 30 under 30 entrepreneur), Sachin Garg (Best Selling Indian Author), Ajay Chaturvedi (Founder, HarVa) and many others.
The convention got very special when Mr. Ajay Chaturvedi re-launched his highly acclaimed book " Lost Wisdom of the Swastika". The convention also hosted " The Entreprenuers' Talk" to provide an insight into the perception of young Indian entrepreneurs towards the Indian ecosystem. The Panel for the discussion had some inspiring stories from Mr. Aashish Beergi (Co-Founder, MASH Project), Supriya Mamgain (Co-Founder, Play Your Sport), Swati Subodh (1M1B Foundation), Deepak Goel (Founder, Edu4Sure), Sidhharth Ahluwalia (Co-Founder, AddoDoc)and many others.
Sports
S.G.N.D. Khalsa College has a long and illustrious tradition in sports dating back from its very inception. The institution won national laurels in both weight-lifting and power-lifting, but now the college excels both in the individual and team games. Many of our students have represented Delhi University in North Zone Intervarsity Championships and All India Intervarsity in various games.
In 2006 that the College appeared in the international arena through the exploits of Rohit Bhakar in the field of badminton who won Arjuna Award for his achievements in the special category.
One of the outstanding athletes to come out of this nursery is Lalit Mathur, currently a third year student of the college who represented India in 4 × 400 m relay at the 2016 Summer Olympics held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. He is also the Silver Medalist in National Games 2015-16 held in Kerala.
S.G.N.D. Khalsa College also won first position from last two years in Inter-college Athletic meet and inter-college Cross-Country as well as 2nd and 3rd positions in inter-college Soft Ball and Baseball Championships in last few years.
Every year, the college organises the Annual Sports Day at Thyagraj Stadium, Delhi which witnesses huge participation from students and the teachers across wide variety of indoor and outdoor games which had been graced by some of the renowned sports personalities including Ms. Asha Aggarwal (Arjuna Awardee,Indian Women Marathon Champion) etc.

The college library not only houses some 73366 books but also subscribes to more than fifty National & International Journals and Magazines.
