Stand Up America is a 501(c)(4) non-profit organization supporting the campaign of 2016 independent presidential candidate Evan McMullin. McMullin launched his independent bid on August 8, 2016. The same day, Republican strategists Kahlil Byrd and Chris Ashby, both of whom had previously worked increasing third-party ballot access, formed the super PAC to support McMullin's candidacy. The PAC will not be used for suing for ballot access but rather for TV and digital ads, live events, and grass-roots organizing.[1]
