State Academy of Fine Arts in Stuttgart

The State Academy of Fine Arts in Stuttgart is the largest artistic university in Stuttgart, Baden-Württemberg, Germany.

History

On June 25, 1761, Charles Eugene, Duke of Württemberg established the Académie des Arts, "where youth can develop as young plants in a nursery." This became the Academia Artium Stuttgardensis in 1782,[1] and was established in 1869 as the State School of Applied Arts to promote German art industry.
