The Stratford Metro-North Railroad station serves the residents of Stratford, Connecticut via the New Haven Line. Although the station is usually served by express trains originating or terminating in New Haven, one peak-hour run of the Waterbury Branch stops each morning and evening, one peak-hour afternoon Shore Line East train, and the last Waterbury train of the day originates here.
Stratford is 59 miles from Grand Central Terminal and the average travel time from Grand Central is one hour, 27 minutes though this varies depending on run and time of day.
The station has 294 parking spaces, all owned by the state.[1]

This station has two high-level side platforms, each four cars long. The northern platform, adjacent to Track 3, is generally used by westbound trains. The southern platform, adjacent to Track 4, is generally used by eastbound trains.
The New Haven Line has four tracks at this location. The two inner tracks, not adjacent to either platform, are used only by express trains.
A ticket purchasing kiosk is located at the exterior of the building on the northern platform station house.
