Kim Jun-myeon (born May 22, 1991), better known by his stage name Suho (meaning "guardian" in Korean), is a South Korean singer and actor. He is a member and the leader of the South Korean boy group EXO and its sub-unit EXO-K.
Early life
Suho was born in Seoul, South Korea, on May 22, 1991.[1] During his youth, Suho was the class president of his elementary school and the vice-chairman of his school's student body. He was also the vice-chairman of his junior high school; however, he dropped his position after being cast by S.M. Entertainment.
In 2009, Suho began attending Korea National University of Arts, however, he withdrew from it in 2011 and continued his education at Kyung Hee Cyber University along with fellow Exo members Chanyeol and Baekhyun. There he took classes for the Culture and Arts Department of Business Administration.[2] Suho revealed on the KBS travel show Fluttering India and on Vapp that he is a Buddhist.[3]
Career

Suho became a trainee through S.M. Entertainment's Casting System in 2006 when he was 16 years old, after being discovered on the streets by an S.M. casting manager. In 2007, he was cast as an extra in the Super Junior film Attack on the Pin-Up Boys. In 2008, he made a brief appearance in TVXQ's music video, "HaHaHa Song".

In 2013, Suho joined the voice cast as the main character Bernard for the Korean dub of the animated movie, Saving Santa.[4] He also recorded the movie's original soundtrack of the same name.[5]
In February 2014, Suho became a regular host for the SBS weekly music show Inkigayo alongside fellow Exo member Baekhyun, ZE:A member Kwanghee and actress Lee Yu-bi. Suho and Baekhyun left the position in November 2014 in order to focus on the release of Exo's second studio album.
2015–present: Acting roles
In January 2015, he starred in S.M. Entertainment's hologram musical, School OZ, playing the character of Hans alongside labelmates Changmin, Key, Luna, Xiumin and Seulgi.[6] On January 29, 2015, Suho was confirmed to star in KBS's variety show, Fluttering India, along with Infinite's Sungkyu, CNBLUE's Jonghyun, Super Junior's Kyuhyun, TVXQ's Changmin, and SHINee's Minho, where they explored the country.[7] In May 2015, Suho began filming for the indie movie One Way Trip. The movie was displayed at the 20th Busan International Film Festival which was held from October 1 to October 10, 2015. Tickets for the movie were sold out in 15 minutes.[8]
In February 2016, Suho made a guest appearance in the music video of Jo Kwon's solo debut song "Crossroad".[9] In April 2016, Suho was announced to be starring in the upcoming web drama How Are You Bread. The series is scheduled to be released in Korea and China during the second half of 2016.[10][11] In June 2016, Suho collaborated with Leeteuk, Kassy and songwriter Cho Young Soo in a song titled "My Hero", as part of S.M. Entertainment's music project Station.[12] In July 2016, Suho and fellow Exo member Chen released a duet titled "Beautiful Accident" as the soundtrack for the Chinese movie of the same name.[13] In August, 2016, it was confirmed that Suho will be starring in MBC drama special The Universe's Star, written by the writer of Splash Splash Love.
