TCA Raghavan is an Indian diplomat.[1] Raghavan is a 1982 batch officer of the Indian Foreign Service.[2] He has considerable experience in dealing with Pakistan, including heading the Joint Secretary the Division of the Ministry of External Affairs in Pakistan Afghanistan and Iran (PAI) division.[3]From June 6, 2013 till his retirement on December 31, 2015 Raghavan was High Commissioner (Commonwealth) of India to Pakistan.
Early life and background
TCA Raghavan holds a PhD in history from Jawaharlal Nehru University.[4]
Career
Raghavan was the Indian high commissioner to Singapore till June 2013.[5][6] After that, Raghavan was appointed high commissioner of India to Pakistan.[7][8][9] Earlier, Raghavan was deputy high commissioner in Islamabad (2003-2007).[10] His previous overseas postings include United Kingdom (1995-1998), Bhutan (1992-1995) and Kuwait (1983-1986).[11]
Personal life
Dr. Raghavan is married to Ranjana Raghavan. They have two daughters.
