Ta Shing Yachts is a yacht builder located in Tainan City, Taiwan. The company was founded in 1957 under the Shing Sheng.[1] Between its foudning and 2015, the yard has delivered over 1,200 custom-made boats.

TaShing designs and builds its own Taswell brand,[2][3] Tashiba,[4] Shing Sheng, Orion and also OEM for Mason, Baba, Panda, Skye, Mystic and Nordhavn. The range includes wooden and fiberglass fishing boats, sailboats,[5] and motoryachts.

History

The founder, CM Juan[6] established Shing Sheng boatyard in 1957, which had operated for at least 20 years during 1930s, and unveiled a new page for Shing Sheng ever since. CM Juan motivated himself building the famous wooden fishing boats to all around Taiwan, and later Shing Sheng became the pioneer not only building the first FRP fishing boat in Taiwan but also improving the FRP boating industry in Taiwan, the TaShing-built FRP fishing boat even dedicated to Panama Government as a special gift from Taiwan. As TaShing established in 1978, CM Juan took his pride in “Quality is TaShing’s life!” urging on the philosophy of delivering the value and dreams as TaShing walking ahead through decades with building thousands of boats.
In March 2006, Tim Juan, son of CM Juan, took his position as president of Ta Shing. Tim grew up in the wooden fishing boat yard as his playground since 1959 (at 4 years old), and since then the seed of passion has been passing on. Following the foot prints of CM Juan, inheriting with the uncompromised insistence on quality is TaShing’s life.
