Takkarist Jaune McKinley (born c. 1995) is an American football defensive end for the UCLA Bruins.
Early years
McKinley attended Kennedy High School in Richmond, California. He had 60 tackles and 11 sacks as a senior and 50 tackles and 15 sacks as a junior. He also ran track in high school.
College career
McKinley originally committed to the University of California, Berkeley but was ruled a non-qualifier and attended Contra Costa College.[1][2] During his one season at Contra Costa in 2013 he had 33 tackles and 10 sacks. In September 2014 he transferred to the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).[3] He played in 10 games that season, making one start, and finished the year with 2.5 sacks.[4][5] As a junior in 2015, McKinley started 12 of 13 games, recording 35 tackles and .[6]
