Tedd Nesbit is a member of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives, representing the 8th House district in Butler County and Mercer County, Pennsylvania.

Personal

Tedd is an Assistant District Attorney in Mercer County. He is also a partner in the law firm of Bartholomew, Mudrinich and Nesbit (BMN). BMN Law is a full service law firm with offices in Grove City and Hermitage. Tedd Nesbit has represented individuals and businesses across Western Pennsylvania and Eastern Ohio. As an attorney, he has seen the struggles faced by business owners in trying to expand and succeed in today’s economic environment. As a business owner, he has seen how difficult it is to hire and keep quality employees.

Tedd grew up in Grove City and attended Grove City Schools. After high school, he attended Florida State University on a Marine Corps. R.O.T.C. Scholarship and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science. He stayed in the south for several years after college. His employment included working as a television reporter for a CBS affiliate in Columbia, South Carolina.

In the late 1990s Tedd and his family moved back to Grove City and he began working for Nick Strimbu, Inc., a regional trucking company in Brookfield, Ohio, where he worked as a licensed truck driver. In 2001, Tedd began his weekend commute to Thomas M. Cooley School Law School in Lansing, Michigan. Each weekend for three years, Tedd commuted to Lansing while maintaining a full-time job. Tedd was named to the Dean’s list every term he was at Cooley where he won the Siegel Award for academic excellence. He also won the Intraschool Moot Court competition, was on the National Moot Court team and was named assistant editor of the Thomas M. Cooley Law Review. In 2004, Tedd graduated Magna Cum Laude and was named the alumni association distinguished student of his graduating class.

Following law school, Tedd spent a year clerking for the Honorable John C. Reed in the Mercer Court of Common Pleas. Since 2005, he has been practicing law in Western Pennsylvania and Eastern Ohio. He is currently an assistant district attorney in Mercer County. He also has a contract with Mercer County to represent families involved in cases with Children and Youth Service Cases.
