Tedros Teclebrhan

Tedros Teclebrhan (born 1983 in Asmara, Eritrea) is a German actor and comedian, best known for his stand-up-stage-comedy Teddy Comedy.

Life and career

Teclebrhan was born as a youngest of three sons in 1983 in Eritrea .[1] He grew up in Mössingen. After the Zivildienst he attended on an international acting-academy, the CreArte in Stuttgart, until he graduated in 2008.

His first TV-roles assumed Teclebrhan in 2009, as he played at SWR a swabian gas-station-easeholder in Laible und Frisch and at ZDF a rhenisch drugdealer in Kommissar Stolberg.

In 2009 Teclebrhan had his debut in the musical Hairspray.[2] From December 2009 to September 2010 he played the role of Seaweed J. Stubbs.

He first gained wide attention with the YouTube-video Umfrage zum Integrationstest (was nicht gesendet wurde)-(Poll of integration-test(what not has been sent)),[3] where he was first seen in his first self-created-role Antoine.

In May 2012 his first Videos of the stage-program Teddy’s Show were played on ZDFneo. The show contains stand-up comedy, a live-band and a talk to guests.[4] Next to Antoine, Teclebrhan played there new self-created-roles. These are: Percy, Lohan Cohan, Ernst Riedler and Ringo Fleischer.[5][6]

In April 2012 he celebrated the premiere and start of his comedy-stage-tour „Teddy Show – Was labersch du…?!“ in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

In 2013 he published the Webseries Bootcamp on his YouTube-channel TeddyComedy[7]

In the film Halbe Brüder made by director Christian Alvart, in 2014, Teclebrhan assumed a leading role on the side of Fahri Yardım and Sido.[8]
