The men's doubles tennis tournament at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro was held at the Olympic Tennis Centre in the Barra Olympic Park in Barra da Tijuca in the west zone of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil from 6–12 August 2016.
Bob and Mike Bryan were the defending champions, but they withdrew before the competition as a result of health concerns.[1]
Marc López and Rafael Nadal won the gold medal, defeating Florin Mergea and Horia Tecău in the final, 6–2, 3–6, 6–4.
