Thala57/AK57 is untitled upcoming Indian action Tamil film written and directed by Siva. It features Ajith Kumar, Kajal Aggarwal and Akshara Haasan in the lead roles while Vivek Oberoi appears as the antagonist. Principal photography of the film commenced at Slovenia in August 2016 and is scheduled for a worldwide release in 01 jan 2017. It is said that Thala 57 is going to be the highest budget film ever for Ajith Kumar.

Production
Vetri had signed to handle the camera [1] and Anthony Ruben will be editing. Anirudh Ravichandran who composed for Vedalam will compose again for Ajith Kumar. [2] Anu Vardhan, who had worked with Ajith in Billa (2007), Aegan (2008), Arrambam (2013) and Vedalam (2015) will be designing his costumes in this movie. K. Ganesh Kumar and Silva will be the fight masters in this movie.[3] First schedule successfully completed in Europe and Second schedule in Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad on October 3rd week. Thala 57 is in its final schedule in Bulgaria where most of the cast members are said to be taking part in the shoot.
