Thalassery (Assembly Constituency)
Thalassery Assembly Constituency of Kerala Legislative Assembly consist of Thalassery Municipality and Chockli, Eranholi, Kadirur, New Mahe and Panniyannur Panchayats.[1] Kodiyeri Balakrishnan(Minister for Home and Tourism) is representing this constituency from 2001.[2]M V Rajagopalan elected in by election in 1979 and again in 1980 in general election. Kodiyeri Balakrishnan got married his daughter Vinodini in 1980 . Rajagopalan known as Raju master in Kannur Dist . In 1981 he was brutally attacked by RSS and undergone treatment for one year . later he backed up from active politics . And died in 1986 . His wife Seethalakshmi and have six children . Santhosh Kumar, Vinodini, Prem Kumar, Aruna, Lilly and Vinaya Kumar .
