The 34th Battalion is an upcoming Australian war film, directed and produced by Luke Sparke. The film follows four friends from Maitland, New South Wales who join the 34th Battalion to serve on the Western Front.[2] The film depicts the experiences of the unit, which was recruited in 1916.

Production
In October 2012, Camelot Entertainment Group announced they had secured worldwide rights to distribute the film, which was estimated to have a budget of $25 million. It is written by father and son duo, Luke and Ian Sparke, and is Luke's directorial debut.[1] Filming began in early 2013 in Wauchope, New South Wales.[3]
In October 2014, Luke Sparke stated in an interview that the film was in the final stages of financing.[4]
