The Barbarian Group is an interactive marketing firm founded in Boston, but currently headquartered in New York City. Founded in 2001, the company reportedly works with traditional agencies and clients on the development of ordinary and viral web marketing. Past projects include the Subservient Chicken for Burger King, AnyFilms for Samsung, and the Beer Cannon for Milwaukee's Best. In late 2009, the company sold a majority stake to Cheil Worldwide.[1] In the summer of 2012 the company closed its Boston office.[2]

In December 2015, Peter Kim was named CEO of The Barbarian Group, succeeding former CEO Sophie Kelly.[3]
