The Birdsongs are a Christian Alternative Rock/Power Pop band originally from Seattle, WA, now living near Knoxville, Tennessee composed of four brothers, their sister, and their father. As a band, they have maintained a constant touring presence and have become increasingly popular at festivals, youth events, and churches. In recent years, they have played shows with hit artists such as The Newsboys, Sanctus Real, RED, Rush of Fools, Everyday Sunday, and Fireflight.[1][2] The Birdsongs released their first two radio singles in 2009 and 2010 and have since gained tremendous radio success with both singles ("Pieces (Hold On)" and "So Much More"). The two singles both charted and have been enjoying steady airplay ever since.[3] Their third single "Will You Save Me?" debuted on radio on July 23, 2012 and hit #23 on Billboard's National Christian Rock Airplay Chart. The album "The Journey: Act I; The Beginning" released shortly after in November 2012. Their latest single "This Isn't Love" released on February 14, 2014 and peaked at #9 on Billboard.

The Journey: Act I; The Beginning

The Birdsongs released the first EP in a two-part project entitled "The Journey: Act I; The Beginning" on November 20, 2012. They started work on the project with Grammy-nominated, Dove Award winning producer Travis Wyrick (Pillar, Disciple, TobyMac, P.O.D.) who also produced their radio singles. The band finished the EP in Nashville with producer Geoff Hunker of the band Satellites & Sirens and producer/mixer Grant Craig who has worked with bands such as 12 Stones and Egypt Central. "The Journey: Act I; The Beginning" includes the popular radio single "Pieces (Hold On)" in addition to their newest single "Will You Save Me?" This first EP is the first part of a two-part storyline. The story will culminate with a second EP "The Journey: Act II; The End" being released at a later date.

Side Projects

The band itself is only composed of 6 Birdsongs. When you add in their mother, Linda, two younger siblings, Priscilla and Joshua, and Matthew and Benjamin's wives, Logan and Heidi, that's a total of 11 Birdsongs. As a side project, the entire family has put out a couple laid-back, acoustic albums produced in their own in-house studio - The Birdhouse.
