The Exploding Girl is a 2009 American independent film written and directed by Bradley Rust Gray, starring Zoe Kazan as Ivy, an epileptic college student returning home to Brooklyn on break. While she is visiting her mother and catching up with her childhood friend Al, her boyfriend dumps her via a phone call. Drama ensues.

It premiered at the Berlin International Film Festival[1] in 2009 and was released theatrically in the United States on March 12, 2010.
