The Knifegrinder Principle of Glittering (Russian: Точильщик, Tochil'schik Printsip Mel'kaniia), or sometimes shortened to The Knifegrinder, is a 1912-13 cubo-futurist painting by Russian artist Kazimir Malevich. It contains both the fragmententation of form associated with futurism as well as abstract geometry related to cubism. As of 2014 it is owned by Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut.[1]
