The Vines of Mendoza

The Vines of Mendoza is an Argentine wine business founded in 2006 by Michael Evans and Pablo Gimenez Riili, The Vines of Mendoza is an enterprise that sells private vineyard estates and distributes Argentine wines. It is located in the Uco Valley of Mendoza, Argentina.[1][2]

Among the varieties produced by the estate vineyards include: Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Grenache, Malbec, Merlot, Mourvedre, Petit Verdot, Pinot noir, Sauvignon blanc, Syrah, Tempranillo and Torrontes

Acequia Wine Club

The Acequia Wine Club is a wine program that ships Argentine wines not often available outside of Argentina to participating parties in the United States and Europe.[3][4]

People

Michael Evans, CEO & Founder- Prior, he worked on the John Kerry presidential campaign, was COO of the Rock The Vote campaign, and Executive Director of CTIA's Wireless Foundation.[5]

Pablo Gimenez Riili, Co-Founder- After a career in law and real estate, he opened the Gimenez Riili winery with three of his brothers.[6] Riili comes from a long family history of winemaking with the Gimenez family has been involved in the wine industry since 1945, when his grandfather Pedro planted the first family vineyard in Maipu.[7] In 2004, he met Michael Evans and in 2006 they together co-founded a winemaking enterprise with investors in the Uco Valley called The Vines of Mendoza.[8]

Santiago Achaval, Consulting Winemaker- Achával’s winery in Mendoza, Achaval-Ferrer, maintains four of the five highest rated wines in Argentine history, according to Wine Spectator.[9][10][11][12] He is also Consulting Winemaker at The Vines of Mendoza.[13]

The Vines of Mendoza makes Recuerdo Wines for the Bespoke Collection.[14][15][16]
