The Whore (Norwegian: Hora) is a Norwegian comedy-horror film directed by Reinert Kiil and starring Jørgen Langhelle.[1]

Plot

Rikke is at work on a new novel. She leaves the city to visit her mother in Dokka in order to finish the book in peace and quiet,[2] but she is raped and brutalized by three local men.[3]

Cast

Production

Kiil filmed the 240,000 Kroner project in just 10 days with 16 spin hours per day at a cabin in Oslo.[4] It is Norway's first Grindhouse film.[5] Kiil cast for the lead role Rikke the famous Scandinavian porn star Isabel Vibe.[6]

Release

The film premiered on September 9, 2009, in Oslo[7] and was on February 5, 2010, released on DVD in Norway.[8] The Whore was banned in Minneapolis at the Minneapolis underground film festival; a private screening was later organised.[9]

Awards

the Film won best feature award in the Netherlands (BUT FILM FESTIVAL) 2009, and the award was given to Reinert Kiil by the worlds most famous trash film director John Waters. [10]the Whore won best sound mix during Denver underground film festival in 2009.

Soundtrack

The score was composed by Apoptygma Berzerk sound engineer Vegard Blomberg.[11]

Sequel

The Sequel Inside the Whore was released 2011 in Norway.[12] It was filmed in summer 2010 in Kvamm, Norway, the Director was in second time Reinert Kiil, which played in this sequel the lead, the other cast include Jørgen Langhelle, Viktoria Winge, Kim Sønderholm, porn star Isabel Vibe and Reality TV (Big Brother) star Anette Young.[13]
