Academics
The school offers an independent, Christ-centered college preparatory education that integrates learning with Biblical faith and challenges students to reach their highest potential spiritually, academically, physically and socially for the Glory of Jesus Christ. Classes are offered for Prekindergarten through 12th grade.
Woodlands Christian is not limited to a single curriculum or publisher. The school chooses from the best curriculum on the market and teaches from a Christian world view. Curriculum is vertically aligned, preparing students for success at each step in their education. Teachers are the living curriculum in the classroom, using their creativity and personal style to maximize instruction.
The early childhood program, PreK and Kindergarten, emphasizes learning through guided play and instruction, creating a foundation in the core subjects; reading, writing, math, science, history and Bible. Teachers are intentional in planning activities that will challenge the students in their classrooms, and prepare them for success at the next level.
Lower School students, 1st - 4th grade, receive instruction in core subjects as well as art, music, foreign language, physical education and Bible.
The Middle School program at Woodlands Christian, 5th - 8th grade, encourages spiritual growth, fosters sound academic habits, and builds lifetime skills for learning. With a core of spiritual and supportive teachers and mentors, TWCA Middle School provides a supportive and flexible school climate that challenges every student to reach their highest potential.
The High School program at Woodlands Christian offers students a challenging, Christ-centered liberal arts curriculum. A Biblical application of the Socratic Method creates a dynamic classroom environment for learning. TWCA aims to graduate young men and women who think clearly and listen carefully with discernment and understanding; who reason persuasively and articulate precisely; who are capable of evaluating their entire range of experience in the light of the Scriptures; and who do so with eagerness in joyful submission to God. AP and dual credit classes are offered.
Students can take band, choir, art/music, or theater as a fine art.
