The series, although critically acclaimed, only lasted 16 episodes. Each episode had a run time of 30 minutes. The show ran in a similar fashion to the popular television series The Waltons. Warner Bros. owns the rights to all three shows, having acquired Lorimar Productions (which produced The Waltons) and Hanna-Barbera Productions.
