Thomas Lenthal is a French Art Director and publisher of Paradis magazine.

After his studies in Fine Arts at the Penninghen school (ESAG Penninghen) of Paris, Thomas Lenthal became creative director of the magazine Glamour (Condé Nast), from 1991 to 1995.

In 1999, he founded the magazine Numéro with Babeth Djian. Until 2008, he was creative director of this prestigious magazine where he collaborated with many photographers, such as Mert Alas & Marcus Pigott, Paolo Roversi, Mario Sorrenti, Guido Mocafico, Sølve Sundsbø, etc.

Lenthal was the art director of Tom Ford’s book, published by Rizzoli. He also designed Guido Mocafico's Movement, Venenum and Belladona published by Steidl. Latest works include an Ernst Haas monography at Steidl and the Dior Joaillerie volume at Rizzoli.

Advertising

At the beginning of the 2000s, Thomas Lenthal was Head of Image for Dior Couture, working with John Galliano on the elaboration of the brand identity, and with whom he designed many advertising campaigns. Since 2000, he is also Head of Image for Dior Joaillerie, in partnership with Victoire de Castellane. From 2002 to 2005, he was Head of Image for Yves Saint Laurent Beauté. He supervised the global identity of perfumes and cosmetics, with Tom Ford and Linda Cantello, and designed various campaigns, such as :

In 2003, Thomas Lenthal was named Art Director of the fashion house Yves Saint Laurent for which he elaborated the global brand identity, including memorable ad campaigns by Juergen Teller, in partnership with designer Stefano Pilati. He was in charge of advertising, publishing, packaging, shows and window design.

Since then, Thomas Lenthal has set up his own studio and works for clients such as Cartier jewelery, watches and fragrances, Giorgio Armani, Missoni, Hermès, Armani Parfums, Kenzo, Tod's, Sonia Rykiel, Bally, among others.
