Tidestromia suffruticosa, the shrubby honeysweet,[1] is a perennial plant in the pigweed family (Amaranthaceae) of the southwestern United States deserts. It has one of the highest rates of photosynthesis ever recorded.[2]

It flowers from April to December.[2]
