Tim Neumark is an American composer, pianist, and recording artist producing contemporary instrumental and solo piano music. He has released seven contemporary piano instrumental albums and published corresponding sheet music songbooks for each album.
Music career
Neumark has released seven albums starting with his debut Biography in 2006. This album plays on Pandora frequenetly. He has received seven nominations for album of the year, winning for 2015's Storm as Best Solo Piano Album by One World Music Radio.[1] Storm was also nominated by Enlightened Piano Radio for album of the year,[2] which allowed him to play at Carnegie Hall for the awards ceremony.[3][4][5][6]
Background
Neumark is a self-taught pianist [7] who began playing piano around age 15. He attened Allegany College in Maryland[5] and West Virginia University.[5] A distant relative of the famous American pianist Artur Rubinstein,[7] Neumark composes and performs his own music. He has toured or performed with some of the biggest names in new age piano, including Michele McLaughlin, Philip Wesley, Doug Hammer, and Chad Lawson. His performance at Carnegie Hall was covered by several newspapers.
