Timothy J. Sloan (born 1960/61) is an American banker. He is the chief executive officer (CEO) of Wells Fargo since October 2016, when he succeeded John Stumpf, having previously been chief operating officer (COO) and president.[2][3]
Early life
Sloan has a bachelor's degree in economics and history and an MBA, both from University of Michigan–Ann Arbor.[3]
Career
Sloan worked as a bank teller at Standard Federal Savings and Loan Association in Ann Arbor, during the summer holidays while a student. In 1984, he joined Continental Illinois National Bank and Trust.[4] In 1987, he joined Wells Fargo, rising to COO and president in November 2015.[2]
Personal life
Sloan is married, with three adult children, and lives in a "$5 million house" in San Marino, a wealthy suburb of Los Angeles.[1][5]
