Timo Letschert (born 25 May 1993) is a Dutch footballer who plays as a defender for Sassuolo in Serie A.

Club career

Letschert began his career with FC Groningen and made his professional debut on 13 April 2013 in a 2–0 victory against Heracles Almelo.[1] On 30 January 2014, it was announced that Letschert and FC Groningen agreed to dissolve his contract as he could not accept his role as a reserve player.[2]

One day later, Letschert signed with Roda JC Kerkrade until the end of the season, with an option for two more years.[3]

On 1 September 2014, Letschert was sent on loan to FC Utrecht with an option for buying, to be able to play in the Eredivisie again.

International career

Letschert received his first call up to the senior Netherlands team in March 2016 for friendlies against France and England.[4]
