The museum exhibits
The archaeology section of the museum houses Hittiten clay tablets from Maşat Höyük, a sword from Hellenistic age, bronze sculptures from Roman age. The coinage section of the museum includes coins from various civilizations and especially from Anatolian Seljuks era. In the ethnographic section the most important item is the hand written Koran of 1191 from Anatolian Seljuks era. There are also examples of ceramics. There are two rooms which reflect hand-painted kerchief manufacturing and copper works, two of the popular work areas of Tokat during the Ottoman Empire.[2]
